《综一》考试题型共10类,每次考试试卷由其中6-7种形式组成。下面结合题型谈谈学习方法和技巧的问题。
(一)用国际音标标出下列单词中划线字母或字母组合的读音。
1、family 2、weaver
(答案:1、/?/ 2、(/i:/)
这部分内容取自教材中的课文,共有20个单词。在平时学习中,遇到发音没把握的单词,一定要勤查词典,直至彻底弄明白。千万不可抱着一种侥幸的心理,以为某一单词不一定会考,因而懒得弄清其发音。上此以往,欠"债"太多,最终将积重难返。
(二)用正确的语法形式、单词或词组填空。从A、B、C、D四个选项中选取出一个最佳答案。
1、Could you please add some more sugar my clffee?
A、to B、in C、for D、on
2、Three pounds too much for such a meal。
A、are B、take C、is D、takes
第一道貌岸然的正确答案是A,因为动词add的句型是add sth.to sth.。 教材第一册第2课中有这么个句子:To this tale,Hans Christian later added a story from his own life.这是一个倒装句,正常的语序是Hans Chriantian later added a story to this tale from his own life.第二道的正确答案是C,整个句子的意思是:"像这样一餐,三磅太多了。"在英语中,表示时间、距离、重量或金额的复数名词作主语时,往往当作一个整体的单位看待,形式上虽然是复数,意义上却是单数,因此地谓语动词须用单数形式。例如:Forty acres is a lot to plow(耕种四十英亩劳动量很大),Four ounces is the smallest quantity we sell(四盎司是我们销售的最小数量)。
这一题型要求考生填入10个正确的语法形式和10个正确的单词或词组。词汇题为课文中出现的单词及其搭配。语法题涵盖教材要求掌握的所有语法现象。
(三)将括号里的单词转换成正确的词类形式填空。
1.The old man looked at the girl with a ____ smile. (friend)
2.Be ____ when you cross the streets. (care) (答案:1.friendly 2.careful)
When Benjamin Franklin first went to France he was ____ (ability) to speak or understand a word of ____ (France).One day he was at a ____ (dining) with many ____ (importance) men of France .There were several speeches ,and everybody applauded after each speech .Franklin did not understand a word of these speeches ,but he applauded like everybody else .After one of the speeches , everybody ,including Franklin himself ,got up ,and applauded ____ (cheerful) and ____ (loud) .Then everybody began to ____ (laughter).Franklin asked the man next to him :"What are they laughing for ?"They are laughing at you ,"said the man ."In the last speech the ____(speaking) spoke about you. 上面两道题都是考察构词法规则,一是采用单句形式,二是采用成段形式,要求根据提供的单词转换成为同一词根的另一种词类。需要注意的是,在成段形式中,也可能有一个词不必改变其词类。要想做好这两道题,教材中有关构词法的知识至关重要。对于成段形式的词类转换,我们建议先快速游览一遍整段内容,抓住整段内容有助于确定个别单词的正确形式。
(四)在下列单词中选择正确的词填空,每词限用一次。
It was late ____ my train pulled into the station. ____ several minutes I sat in the waiting room, not knowing what to do. 这种完形填空是考察学生对语法和词汇的运用以及简单的阅读理解能力。试题的短文中有10个空格,要求考生从所提供的12-15个词中选择正确答案,填入空格中。本题的短文选自教材以外的文章。我们建议做这道题时,还是先快速浏览一遍全文,以求获得整体印象,然后再选择正确答案。此外,应该采取"优选法",有把握的词先填入适当的位置,这样剩下不多的词就比较易"择优选择"了。
(五)在下列课文片段中填入遗漏的词。
"You are all such dear friends ____ mine", Colin went on reading out ____ Ground"s words in a flat tone, ____ , if they weren"t so interested, would ____ sent everyone to sleep, "that I ____ decide which of you to leave ____ money to. 这种完形填空考察学生对所学课文的熟悉程度及对词汇和句法的熟练程度。试题从所学课文中选出长度为150-120个词的片段,每7-9个词抽掉一个,留出空处,要求考生填入与课文一致的词。做这道题,对课文的熟悉程度是个关键因素。
(六)根据所学课文内容,用适当的答案完成下列句子。
1.Henry Ground had twelve of his funeral breakfast because____.
2.Tracy"s liver was transplanted into David, who was suffering from ____.

(七)根据所学课文内容,用一两句话回答下列问题。
1.how did Mr. Budd hit upon an idea to help catch the murderer?
2.Why did the young man in "Outside Chance "leave his hometown?
1.He remembered the words "Knowledge is Power ,"and decided to use his skill of dyeing to put a mark on the man.
2.He was not satisfied working for others. He wanted to start a business of his own.
上面两道题都是考察学生对课文的熟悉和理解程度。前一道题要求学生能根据每题所提供的线索,按照课文内容,用正确的语法形式完成10个句子。所给线索可以是总结归纳性的,也可以=是课文原文。后 一道题是关于课文的大意、故事的内容、人物、时间、地点等,但不会考不重要的细节。由于问题是针对课文内容而设计的,因此考生不必进行发挥。
(八)将下列句子译成英语。
1、他伸出手,但这位女士却拒绝与他握手。
2、人们不理解他为什么离开了他的家乡。
答案:

这道貌岸然题主要考察学生对课文重点句型、词汇和语法的掌握及其运用能力,共10题。题目出自课后词汇、句型翻译练习题和语法翻译习题,而且严格按照考试大纲附表所列的范围命题。
(九)阅读下列短文,从A、B、C、D四个选项中选出一个最佳答案填空。

这道题是考察综合的阅读理解能力,要求考生在阅读完短文后,从选择项目中找出正确的答案。包括两至三篇短文,基本没有生词,如有个别生词,试卷中会用汉语标出
